CTV - Documentary about Obesity with Valerie Pringle
Liliane's life journey was viewed as an extreme. Being extreme in
this case is to say 'no' to the diet world and surgery and saying
'yes' to taking on self responsibility about her own health in a
more gentle and human approach that prevents weight gain and further
feelings of failure. The story was based on Liliane's program "From
the Inside Out".

To Tell the Truth: A Woman's Journey with Size
Liliane's seminar at the Holiday Inn, Markham was a success. Here
Liliane revealed her life's journey and her experiences with weight
loss and regaining it all back and more. She talked about how her
parents, society and health care professionals made her believe
that dieting was the only way to happiness. She divulged her discovery
that as a health care professional, life coach and wellness graduate,
she was able to start educating herself about the honest truth to
weight loss. She decided that no one was going to tell her she couldn't
live a fulfilled life unless she lost all this excess weight. She
stopped weighing herself and letting numbers rule her life. She
started looking after her health through prevention, started living
her dreams through life coaching and being more active by teaching
aerobics.
She further
took her audience through some self-discovery exercises about identifying
their true values and where they were maybe not honouring them.
Her message was that regardless of size or society's expectations,
you are entitled to a full life while making healthy progress in
a healthy way.
